The State Financial Monitoring Service under the leadership of Philip Pronin imposed illegal sanctions against the fifth President Petro Poroshenko. Because of this situation, Ukraine risks losing its membership in the “Egmont Group”, which will make it more difficult to identify the assets of corrupt people abroad.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Last week, there was a leak of information from our case in the Supreme Court, and even society can see that Philip Pronin, as the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service, although they really had no right to do so, signed a letter to the Ministry of Economy, where he writes that he received information from a law enforcement agency that Poroshenko may have been behind the “Kharkiv agreements”, I am sending it to you,” Novikov noted.<\/p>\n

According to him, on the same day, the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service was present at a meeting with the participation of the then Minister of Economy Yulia Svyrydenko, her deputy Oleksiy Sobolev, as well as Vladyslav Vlasyuk, the authorized representative of the President’s Office for sanctions issues, where they adopted a decision on illegal sanctions against Petro Poroshenko.<\/p>\n

However, information recently emerged that the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine was on the verge of being expelled from the international financial intelligence community “Egmont Group” due to the situation surrounding illegal sanctions against Poroshenko, the lawyer said.<\/p>\n

“For you and me, this will mean that the state will no longer be able to find out about Ukrainian corrupt officials who stole our money and their assets that they took abroad in a normal way through the mechanisms of cooperation of financial intelligence. And, most likely, this will mean a bonus for corruption in Ukraine. If the situation reaches the point of excluding Ukraine due to the involvement of the leadership, not only Philip Pronin, but the leadership of the entire financial monitoring of Ukraine in processes that do not meet international standards, this may mean that Ukrainian corruption will receive a big bonus,” Novikov emphasizes.<\/p>\n\t\t
