US President Donald Trump said he intends to raise the issue of Russia’s war against Ukraine during his upcoming meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He said he hopes to find ways to end the conflict, including by discussing energy issues and other possible aspects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported by<\/a> CNN.<\/p>\n

“I’m going to talk to him about how to stop the war between Russia and Ukraine, whether it’s an issue of oil, energy or something else. I think he’ll be very open to it,” the publication quotes Trump as saying.<\/p>\n

The US President also expressed the opinion that Xi Jinping could influence Russian President Vladimir Putin to help resolve the conflict.<\/p>\n

“He has significant influence over Putin, as well as many other leaders. He is a respected man and a strong leader of a great country. I believe he can help, and we will definitely talk about Russia and Ukraine,” Trump stressed.<\/p>\n

In addition to war issues, Trump has announced his intentions to conclude important agreements with China, including on rare earth metals and, possibly, the nuclear program.<\/p>\n

Recall that the meeting between Trump and Xi Jinping may take place during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit, which will be held on October 31 – November 1.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine recorded the facts of China’s transfer of satellite data to Russia, which was used to launch missile strikes on the territory of Ukraine<\/a> . In response, the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that they were “unaware of such a situation,” but refrained from a clear denial.<\/p>\n
