The United Kingdom will manufacture new OCTOPUS interceptor drones for Ukraine, which are designed to strengthen the country’s defense capabilities. The agreement was reached during a meeting between President Volodymyr Zelensky and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in London.<\/strong><\/p>\n

As the Ukrainian leader reported<\/a> in his Telegram, he personally presented a sample of the domestic development to the British head of government. As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed to produce the first batch of OCTOPUS drones, which will be tested directly in Ukraine after production.<\/p>\n

Zelensky also emphasized that increasing sanctions pressure on Russia is a key step towards bringing real negotiations closer.<\/p>\n

“The latest sanctions packages from our partners are of great importance. They should force Russia to sit at the negotiating table,” the president noted.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In addition, the parties agreed on common positions before the meeting of the so-called “coalition of the willing.” The main topics of discussion will be security guarantees for Ukraine, strengthening the air defense system, and the transfer of long-range weapons.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Ukrainian company \u201cGeneral Chereshnya\u201d introduced a drone capable of countering Russian strike drones<\/a> , the \u201canti-shahed\u201d.<\/p>\n
