This is a monthly state allowance that partially compensates for the costs of education and everyday life.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> This <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kmu.gov.ua\/news\/sotsialna-stypendiia-dlia-studentiv-shcho-tse-khto-mozhe-otrymaty-ta-iak-oformyty\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">is stated<\/a> in the Cabinet of Ministers&#8217; statement.<\/p>\n<p> The social scholarship is awarded to students who study on a budget basis in public or private educational institutions. It is available to those who are pursuing higher education on a full-time or dual basis and belong to socially vulnerable categories.<\/p>\n<p> These categories include:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> orphans and children deprived of parental care,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> combatants and their children,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> persons without parents aged 18 to 23,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> children of deceased or missing Defenders of Ukraine.<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> students from low-income families,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> persons with disabilities of groups I-III,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> former prisoners and their children,<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> as well as displaced persons from areas where hostilities are taking place or occupied territories who have lost their homes.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> The amount of the scholarship depends on the category of the recipient:<\/p>\n<ul><\/p>\n<li> For orphans under 18 years old \u2013 4794 UAH;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> For orphans aged 18-23 \u2013 4,542 UAH;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> For other students of higher education institutions \u2013 1180 UAH;<\/li>\n<p><\/p>\n<li> For students of professional pre-university institutions \u2013 890 UAH.<\/li>\n<p><\/ul>\n<p> To apply for a social scholarship, a student submits a free-form application to the dean&#8217;s office, indicating his\/her data and the reason for payment. The application is accompanied by copies of the passport, identification code, student ID card and documents confirming belonging to a preferential category. The commission&#8217;s decision is made within three working days.<\/p>\n<p> In case of a positive decision, the scholarship is paid monthly until the completion of studies or until the student reaches the age of 23.<\/p>\n<p> Recall that from September 1, 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/v-ukraini-z-1-veresnia-suttievo-zrostut-stypendii-khto-i-skilky-otrymuvatyme\/\">, the size of presidential academic scholarships for pupils, students and postgraduates in Ukraine has significantly increased<\/a> . The government made the corresponding decision, approving amendments to the resolution.
