During the full-scale invasion, Russia killed 661 Ukrainian children, wounded 2,203, destroyed more than 4,500 schools and deported more than 19,000 children.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, Ruslan Kravchenko.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Russia’s defiant and cynical war: the target is Ukrainian children. After every Russian attack on peaceful Ukrainian cities, we see the same thing over and over again: children killed, children wounded, lives destroyed,” he noted.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Kravchenko cited examples of recent crimes: a 19-year-old girl, a graduate of Lyceum No. 171 “Lider,” and her mother were killed in a “shahid” attack in Kyiv on October 26. Seven other children were injured. In the Sumy region on the same day, children aged 8 and 15 were injured after a minibus was struck.<\/p>\n

The Prosecutor General emphasized that Russia commits all six serious crimes against children defined by UN Security Council Resolution 1261 on a daily basis: murder, injury, attacks on schools and hospitals, abductions, deportations, recruitment, and sexual violence.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, as of the 1,342nd day of the war, prosecutors are investigating 5,363 criminal cases related to these facts.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“We will do everything to ensure that all war criminals\u2014from the perpetrators to the Russian leadership\u2014are brought to justice. Time is of the essence. These crimes have no statute of limitations,” Kravchenko concluded.<\/p>\n
