On October 27, Russian oil giant Lukoil announced plans to sell its foreign assets in response to sanctions imposed against the company and its subsidiaries by the United States and other states.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Due to restrictions imposed on Lukoil and its subsidiaries by certain countries, the company announces its intention to sell its international assets. Consideration of offers from potential buyers has already begun,” Lukoil representatives noted.<\/p>\n

Lukoil clarified that the sale transaction will take place within the framework of a license issued by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) of the US Treasury Department. If necessary, the company plans to apply for an extension of the license to ensure the continuous operation of foreign assets until the transactions are completed.<\/p>\n
