President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the creation of the Energy Coalition, a meeting of which will be held in the coming days.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He said this during a meeting with Dutch Foreign Minister David van Wiel,<\/span> Interfax-Ukraine<\/span> reports<\/span><\/a> .<\/p>\n

The decision to organize a coalition to support Ukraine’s energy sector was made after Russia’s massive attacks on the energy system, logistics, water supply, and gas supply.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ukraine has already been supported by the Netherlands, Norway, and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Zelensky, the first meeting within the coalition will be held online. The partners will discuss the challenges of Russian strikes and assistance to Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

David van Wiel assured that the Dutch Prime Minister will join the coalition to help Ukraine get through the upcoming winter.<\/span><\/p>\n

“We are partners here, we will be with you until the very end and we want to make sure that Ukrainians are in the best position to find the achievement of a just and lasting peace,” he added.<\/span><\/p>\n

As is known, Russia continues to purposefully attack Ukraine’s energy infrastructure<\/a> , trying to make parts of the country uninhabitable. The Kremlin’s goal is to destroy energy networks, cause a humanitarian crisis, and provoke mass emigration.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russia has revised its tactics for shelling Ukrainian energy infrastructure<\/a> and is now not trying to destroy the system all at once, but rather seeks to gradually disable it.<\/p>\n
