Kenyan authorities have stated that their citizens were fraudulently recruited to participate in the war against Ukraine on Russian territory.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country.<\/p>\n

The document emphasizes that the government is calling on immigration and law enforcement agencies to monitor border crossings, including airports, with a special focus on identifying and apprehending individuals who are illegally recruiting Kenyans.<\/p>\n

According to authorities, several Kenyan citizens have been deceived by recruiters who used “unscrupulous methods,” leading to Kenyans ending up in Russia and “unknowingly participating” in the fighting.<\/p>\n

Kenyan diplomats are currently in contact with Moscow to ensure the return of their citizens. According to the latest data from the Foreign Ministry, several people have already been returned to their homeland.<\/p>\n

Recall that Russia is establishing large-scale mercenary recruitment operations in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, disguising these actions as “cooperation” with local governments and security agencies.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the Russian Federation is actively involving foreign mercenaries in the war against Ukraine. According to Ukrainian intelligence, up to 25,000 Cuban citizens may be fighting on the side of the Russian Federation<\/a> .
