This is, first and foremost, a blatant replay of history, echoing the tens of thousands allegedly surrounded in the Kursk region. Back then, even Trump believed it. But this time, it simply won\u2019t happen.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"76\" data-end=\"264\">\n<p data-start=\"79\" data-end=\"264\">Petrels, Poseidons, the alleged encirclement in Kupyansk, and other similar stories are <strong data-start=\"167\" data-end=\"195\">a theater for two actors<\/strong>: Trump and Xi, who on Thursday will discuss Russia\u2014without Russia.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"266\" data-end=\"444\">\n<p data-start=\"269\" data-end=\"444\">Putin\u2019s greatest fear is Xi\u2019s ambiguous position, who, under certain circumstances (as I noted yesterday), <strong data-start=\"376\" data-end=\"441\">might at some point agree to a ceasefire along the front line<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"446\" data-end=\"776\">\n<p data-start=\"449\" data-end=\"776\">It\u2019s still unclear how all this hysteria and mythical entourage will help Xi refuse to discuss the issue with Trump. The only logical explanation is that if nothing is invented or dramatized, the probability of China accepting the U.S. proposal is <strong data-start=\"697\" data-end=\"722\">higher than it is now<\/strong>, while Putin continues to stage his pseudo-madness.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"778\" data-end=\"925\">\n<p data-start=\"781\" data-end=\"925\">In short, Putin is demonstrating <strong data-start=\"814\" data-end=\"849\">extraordinary external weakness<\/strong>, which will inevitably be offset by an internal tightening of the screws.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t<aside class=\"shortcode-also\" data-title=\"Read also\" >\n\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/the-russian-tricolor-in-pokrovsk-lasted-only-an-hour-the-armed-forces-of-ukraine-destroyed-the-symbol-of-the-occupiers\/\">The Russian tricolor in Pokrovsk lasted only an hour: the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the symbol of the occupiers<\/a>\n\t<\/aside>\n\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"82\" data-end=\"533\">Amid all this, we cannot rule out the possibility that Putin <strong data-start=\"143\" data-end=\"196\">actually believes in these mythical encirclements<\/strong>. This may not be mere theater for the public, but a genuine conviction. Six months ago, we saw how he sincerely believed the front would collapse by autumn. In other words, there is a high probability that he is <strong data-start=\"409\" data-end=\"448\">gradually losing touch with reality<\/strong>. If so, this will reach the Russian elite <strong data-start=\"491\" data-end=\"530\">with a delay of three to six months<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"535\" data-end=\"807\">As a reminder, on October 29, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin <strong data-start=\"597\" data-end=\"680\">announced the alleged encirclement of Ukrainian troops in Pokrovsk and Kupyansk<\/strong>, after which he cynically suggested \u201cceasing hostilities\u201d so that journalists could verify the \u201ctruthfulness\u201d of his claims.<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/u-zsu-sprostuvaly-zaiavu-putina-pro-otochennia-kup-ianska\/\">The Armed Forces of Ukraine later denied Putin&#8217;s statements<\/a> about the alleged encirclement of Kupyansk by Russian troops. The command emphasizes that the Kremlin dictator is repeating false statements by his generals, which do not correspond to the real situation on the front.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At the same time, <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/voroh-naroshchuie-prysutnist-u-pokrovsku-drony-i-pikhota-proryvaiutsia\/\">the enemy continues to gradually penetrate Pokrovsk<\/a>, increasing its presence with infantry units and increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions. At the same time, the enemy <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/masshtabne-stiahuvannia-syl-rf-ukrainski-viyska-strymuiut-nastup-pid-pokrovskom\/\">is trying to surround the city<\/a> and advance to the northwest and north of the agglomeration.
