More than a thousand civilians are still trapped in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast. Evacuation from the city is almost impossible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was stated by<\/span><\/a> the head of the Donetsk OAV, Vadym Filashkin.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to him, as of now, 1,256 people are in Pokrovsk. Due to daily Russian shelling, local residents are unable to leave their shelters and leave the city on their own.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe saw the Russian army shooting women and elderly people who went out to charge their phones at the Invincibility Point or get drinking water,\u201d the official recalled.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that evacuation from the community is practically impossible. However, there are cases when Ukrainian defenders manage to help people.<\/span><\/p>\n

In particular, recently, fighters from the \u201cSkelya\u201d brigade evacuated six people and animals. The evacuation lasted three days.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cOnce again, I emphasize that people should leave the region. And from cities that are close to the front line, such as Pokrovsk, the city of Kostyantynivka,\u201d Filashkin added.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the enemy continues to gradually penetrate Pokrovsk<\/a> , increasing its presence with infantry units and increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions.<\/p>\n

As reported, the enemy is trying to surround Pokrovsk and advance to the northwest and north of the urban agglomeration<\/a> , actively using drones and artillery to control the logistics of Ukrainian troops and search for infiltration routes.<\/p>\n

By the way, on the morning of October 29 , the Russian occupiers tried to demonstrate their presence in Pokrovsk by installing the tricolor on the entrance ceiling of the city<\/a> . However, within an hour, the symbol of the occupiers was eliminated.<\/p>\n
