The European Union will allocate about 50 million euros for the restoration of Ukrainian hospitals that have been significantly damaged as a result of military operations or are operating under increased workload.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported by<\/span><\/a> the press service of the Ministry of Health.<\/span><\/p>\n

“During the fifth meeting of the Steering Committee of the Ukraine Investment Framework (UIF), it was agreed to allocate additional funding under the guarantees of the European Union for the joint project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and the World Bank “Strengthening the Health System and Saving Lives” (HEAL Ukraine),” the department explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

As noted, the money will primarily be used to reconstruct institutions that serve internally displaced persons.<\/span><\/p>\n

The allocated funds will cover the preparatory and construction stages of project implementation. This includes conducting feasibility studies, environmental and social assessments, developing project and tender documentation, carrying out construction and installation works, technical supervision, and purchasing modern medical and laboratory equipment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Specific institutions for project implementation will be selected after final confirmation of funding availability.<\/span><\/p>\n

“The Ministry of Health of Ukraine expresses gratitude to international partners for their systematic support for Ukrainian medicine, in particular for financial assistance, which allows us to restore damaged infrastructure and strengthen the ability of medical institutions to provide quality services in war conditions,” the Ministry of Health concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n

We will remind, the Council of Europe Development Bank transferred another 170 million euros to Ukraine<\/a> , which will be allocated to housing programs.<\/p>\n

Earlier , the European Union announced the launch of three initiatives worth a total of \u20ac6.6 million<\/a> aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s independent media sector.<\/p>\n
