Petro Poroshenko today in Sumy region handed over a large batch of drones and equipment to 15 brigades and units of the Defense Forces.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The cargo was delivered a few hours after the enemy launched a large-scale missile and drone attack across the entire territory of Ukraine. But there have been no quiet days in Sumy region lately, locals say.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLiterally an hour before our arrival, another flight took place \u2014 once again over the city\u2019s civilian infrastructure. Explosions can be heard here every day: a recreation center, a gas station, high-rise buildings, private houses\u2026 People are scared, tired, and their only hope is in the military. And the brigades in this direction need drones, Mavics, fiber optics, and other equipment. A lot is needed,\u201d Poroshenko stated.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cMeanwhile, the DSSZZI, which was supposed to purchase the Mavics and drones, left the brigades without eyes. UAH 40 billion was transferred to this structure, contracts were concluded at inflated prices, and the drones never arrived. Our team has been fighting for the past two years against the Ministry of Defense transferring money for purchases to the DSSZZI. For a year, Eurosolidarity has been demanding that the funds paid by the military in the form of taxes go directly to the brigades. No one will be able to manage them better than the military themselves. Right now, everything is deafening. But we continue to fight, because these are drones, electronic warfare systems, artillery shells, and armored vehicles for our soldiers. After all, this is the life of our boys and girls,\u201d the fifth President emphasized.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFor the 15 units that are holding the defense, we brought drones, a lot of fiber optics, quad bikes, electronic warfare systems for protection, and many important positions. For the construction of fortifications, we brought mobile sawmills. Manipulators, repair shops, washing and shower complexes \u2014 we have queues behind these positions,\u201d Poroshenko explained.<\/span><\/p>\n
