The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court found former head of the State Fiscal Service Roman Nasirov guilty in the case of making illegal decisions in favor of companies associated with former MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko. He was sentenced to six years in prison and taken into custody right in the courtroom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

A panel of judges consisting of Igor Strohy, Lesya Fedorak, and Viktor Nogachevskyi passed a verdict finding Nasirov guilty. He was sentenced to six years in prison and a fine of seventeen thousand hryvnias. He will also be barred from holding certain positions for three years.<\/p>\n

His accomplice, Volodymyr Novikov, received a four-year prison sentence with a similar fine and a ban on holding office. The court ordered both to be held in custody until the verdict becomes final.<\/p>\n

The verdict has not yet entered into force. The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court is due to consider possible appeals by mid-April 2026. If the process is delayed, Nasirov may escape liability due to the expiration of the statute of limitations.<\/p>\n

It is noted that on October 30, the court extended Nasirov’s procedural obligations until December 30, 2025. Prosecutors insisted on this, noting that the former official could leave the country. The lawyers asked to change the preventive measure to a personal bond, but the court refused.<\/p>\n

The court ordered Nasirov to appear when summoned, not to leave the Kyiv region without permission, to report a change of residence, not to contact the participants in the case, to surrender his passport, and to wear an electronic bracelet.<\/p>\n

Roman Nasirov is a figure in the so-called “Onyshchenko gas scheme”, criminal proceedings against which were opened back in 2017. He does not admit his guilt.<\/p>\n

Recall that the former head of the State Fiscal Service, Roman Nasirov, appeared in the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court on April 10 – for the first time after the high-profile story with his unexpected mobilization, which was later canceled. The court extended the preventive measure for two months<\/a> in the case of a bribe of 722 million hryvnias, which became a record in the history of Ukrainian justice.<\/p>\n
