Earlier this week, Ukrainian special forces from the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense were dispatched to Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region to stabilize the situation following a sharp escalation of hostilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Economist journalist Oliver Carroll reported<\/a> this.<\/p>\n

“Ukraine has sent special forces to fight in the besieged eastern city of Pokrovsk\u2026 The operation shows how Ukraine is struggling to stabilize the strategically important city after dozens of Russian troops breached its perimeter this month,” the publication says.<\/p>\n

According to an agency source in the 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces, Ukrainian special forces arrived in the combat zone on a Black Hawk helicopter as part of a complex operation complicated by Russian drone activity.<\/p>\n

Another Reuters source reported that the operation was led by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Kirill Budanov.<\/p>\n

Correspondent Oliver Carroll posted a video on the social media site X<\/em> that allegedly shows Ukrainian paratroopers landing from a helicopter. However, the journalist noted that the authenticity of the footage has not yet been verified.<\/p>\n

Let us recall that the enemy continues to gradually penetrate into Pokrovsk<\/a> , increasing its presence with infantry units and increasing pressure on Ukrainian positions.<\/p>\n

As reported, the enemy is attempting to encircle Pokrovsk and advance to the northwest and north of the urban agglomeration<\/a> , actively using drones and artillery to control the logistics of Ukrainian troops and search for infiltration routes.<\/p>\n

Incidentally, on the morning of October 29, Russian infidels attempted to demonstrate their presence in Pokrovsk by hoisting the tricolor flag on the city’s entrance ceiling<\/a> . However, within an hour, the occupiers’ symbol was removed.<\/p>\n
