Ukrzaliznytsia announced the launch of a new support program for Ukrainians, “UZ-3000,” which provides 3,000 free kilometers for travel. The company is confident this initiative will encourage travel during non-peak periods and make travel within the country more accessible.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated in the company’s official announcement on social media.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“We want everyone to be able to discover our country affordably, even if it’s just traveling from one part of Ukraine to another,” Ukrzaliznytsia noted.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The company explained that the 3,000-kilometer distance was chosen deliberately\u2014it’s the same distance as a round-trip train ride in Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The program is expected to help ease peak travel periods by encouraging passengers to plan their trips during less busy times.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“This program is very important for all railway workers, as it is part of state funding for passenger transportation,” Ukrzaliznytsia emphasized.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced<\/a> that the government is preparing a large-scale “winter support” program, which will be launched in December. It will include direct payments, social assistance, the maintenance of fixed fares, and free domestic rail travel.<\/p>\n
