In Ukraine, a “winter support” program will be launched in December, under which citizens will be able to receive from one thousand to six and a half thousand hryvnias. The assistance is planned to be used for food, medicine, warm clothing, and payment of utility bills.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity, Denys Ulyutin, on the air of a national telethon.<\/p>\n

According to the minister, the government is preparing a draft resolution that provides for a one-time financial assistance of six and a half thousand hryvnias<\/strong> . It will be received by families with children, guardians, family-type orphanages, low-income families, as well as people with the first group of disabilities among internally displaced persons and single pensioners.<\/p>\n

“These 6,500 hryvnias can be spent on food, medicines, warm clothing, and utilities,” Ulyutin noted.<\/p>\n

In addition, the government plans a one-time payment of one thousand hryvnias<\/strong> for all citizens who apply in December. This money can be spent on a wider range of goods and services, including travel and medicines.<\/p>\n

Also, a compensation program for residents of frontline areas was launched on November 1. It provides for reimbursement of the cost of one hundred kilowatts of electricity per person or three hundred kilowatts per family.<\/p>\n

“In addition, there is a one-time support program for the purchase of solid fuel for people in frontline areas or other beneficiaries,” the minister added.<\/p>\n

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the government is preparing a large-scale “winter support” program<\/a> that will come into effect in December. It will include direct payments, social assistance, maintaining fixed fares, and free rail travel within the country.<\/p>\n
