An explosion occurred on the territory of a local petrochemical plant in the Russian city of Sterlitamak (Bashkortostan) on the morning of November 4. The event was preceded by the announcement of a “drone danger” in the region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Russian sources, residents of Sterlitamak heard at least two explosions \u2014 at around 6:20 and 7:00 a.m. local time. Videos of flashes and sounds of detonation appeared on social media.<\/p>\n

The city mayor confirmed that the explosion occurred in the water treatment plant of the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant. Part of the building collapsed, but there were no injuries. According to him, the causes of the incident are being determined.<\/p>\n

Later, the head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, reported that the industrial facility was attacked by two unknown drones. Both drones were allegedly shot down, and the debris fell on the territory of the industrial zone. The enterprise, he said, continues to operate normally.<\/p>\n

It is noted that the Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant is part of the Russian holding Roskhim. Its products are used in the oil refining, food, medical, and cosmetic industries.<\/p>\n

On the night of November 4, similar incidents occurred in several other Russian regions. In Lipetsk and Nizhny Novgorod, local residents reported the operation of air defense systems and a series of explosions in the sky.<\/p>\n

A “red drone threat level” was declared in Lipetsk, and in Nizhny Novgorod there were reports of an unknown drone being shot down. Due to the situation, the Strigino airport, where the “Carpet” plan was implemented, temporarily suspended operations.<\/p>\n

Airports in Volgograd, Tambov, Penza, Saratov, and Samara also partially stopped operating.<\/p>\n

On the evening of November 3, a drone hit a local electrical substation in the city of Frolovo, Volgograd Oblast, causing a fire. Local authorities confirmed that the fire was caused by falling debris from the drone.<\/p>\n

Power supply problems also arose in the Kursk region – more than 16,000 consumers in the Rylsky, Hlushkovsky and Korenivsky districts were left without electricity. The regional governor said that the substation supplying these districts was hit by a “hostile drone.”<\/p>\n

Recall that on the night of November 2 , special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate destroyed expensive Russian air defense facilities in temporarily occupied Crimea.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the Ukrainian Naval Forces attacked the Russians, striking an elite enemy special forces unit that was on the Syvash drilling rig.<\/a><\/p>\n

In addition, on the night of November 3 , units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the Saratov Oil Refinery and a number of logistics facilities in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk Oblast.<\/a><\/p>\n
