In December, Ukraine will launch a “winter support” program, which provides one-time payments to various categories of citizens. The amount of assistance will range from 1,000 to 6,500 hryvnias.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity Denys Ulyutin during a telethon.<\/p>\n

According to him, a one-time assistance of 6,500 hryvnias will be received by:<\/p>\n

families with children;<\/p>\n

families who are guardians of children;<\/p>\n

family-type orphanages and children from low-income families;<\/p>\n

persons with disability group I among internally displaced persons;<\/p>\n

single pensioners.<\/p>\n

The money can be spent on groceries, medicine, warm clothing, or utility bills.<\/p>\n

In addition, a payment of 1,000 hryvnias is provided for everyone who applies for assistance in December. This can be used for a wider range of goods and services, including transportation, medicines, and other needs.<\/p>\n

Ulyutin also reported that since November 1, a program of compensation for electricity has been in effect for residents of frontline areas:<\/p>\n

100 kW per person or 300 kW per family.<\/p>\n

Separately, one-time support is provided for the purchase of solid fuel for residents of frontline zones and other privileged categories.<\/p>\n

The “winter support” program should help Ukrainians survive the cold season and cover basic needs, particularly for the most vulnerable segments of the population.<\/p>\n
