This will allow strikes from a safer distance for Russian aviation and expand the radius of the threat across the territory of Ukraine.

This is reported by ” Telegraph “.

The GUR, in response to the editorial office’s request, indicated that the enemy has switched to mass production of guided modular glide bombs (KMPB). These munitions are equipped with a turbojet engine, which increases their flight range to two hundred kilometers. Such an increase in range allows Russian aircraft not to enter the range of the air defense systems of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

The document also notes that the enemy previously used aerial bombs with universal planning and correction modules (UMPK) with a range of about seventy-five kilometers to hit targets in frontline and border areas. According to intelligence, the KMPB will not be an exception to their purpose, but due to the increased radius, they will be able to hit targets deeper into the territory of Ukraine.

Deputy Chief of the GUR Vadym Skibitsky reported at the forum that new control modules are being installed on aerial bombs of calibers of two hundred and fifty, five hundred, one and a half thousand and three thousand kilograms. According to him, the combat radii of such bombs will be from one hundred and fifty to two hundred kilometers, and during the last tests they reached a range of 193 kilometers. Skibitsky also noted that the first strikes with new ammunition have already been recorded over the Dnieper and other cities.

As for the component base, intelligence indicated that in most cases, UMPKs are equipped with Chinese-made components. At the same time, the Comet-type high-explosive air bombs used in UMPK modifications include electronic components manufactured by companies from the United States and Switzerland. Intelligence also reports on the enemy’s attempts to increase the noise immunity of these systems against Ukrainian electronic warfare equipment.

The GUR report states that, according to intelligence estimates, Russia’s transition to mass production of such weapons increases the air threat to both frontline areas and large Ukrainian cities.

Additionally, we would like to remind you that the KAB is a guided aerial bomb, a high-precision munition with a guidance system and aerodynamic surfaces, which allows it to hit targets with high accuracy.

It was previously reported that Russia has increased production of Geran-2 attack drones (an analogue of the Iranian Shahed-136) and is now capable of producing about 2,700 drones per month.

Also follow “Pryamim” on Facebook , Twitter , Telegram , and Instagram.

According to the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Russia is mass-producing guided modular glide bombs, which, thanks to a turbojet engine, can fly up to two hundred kilometers.
