The Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No. 13532, which provides for a significant increase in state assistance to families with children. From January 1, 2026, the one-time payment at the birth of a child will be 50 thousand hryvnias, and new monthly payments and targeted support programs are also being introduced.<\/strong><\/p>\n

294 people’s deputies voted for the document.<\/p>\n

The law establishes a number of new social guarantees that will come into effect in early 2026.<\/p>\n

Main payments and programs:<\/p>\n

Upon the birth of a child: a one-time benefit of UAH 50,000 for the first and each subsequent child.<\/p>\n

Care up to 1 year: 7,000 UAH per month, and for a child with a disability – 10,500 UAH\/month.<\/p>\n

\u201ce-Nursery\u201d program (from 1 to 3 years): 8,000 UAH per month of targeted support, which can be used to pay for kindergarten, clubs or other care services. For children with disabilities \u2014 12,000 UAH\/month.<\/p>\n

\u201cStudent Package\u201d: 5,000 UAH one-time payment for first-grade students.<\/p>\n

Pregnancy allowance for unemployed women: UAH 7,000, which will be paid 70 days before childbirth.<\/p>\n

\u201cBaby Package\u201d: will be provided, as before, in kind or in cash, starting from the 36th week of pregnancy.<\/p>\n

A transitional period is also provided: if the child is not yet one year old on January 1, 2026, parents will continue to receive the current benefit of UAH 860, as well as a new payment of UAH 7,000 per month until the child turns one year old.<\/p>\n

As reported, on August 19 , the Verkhovna Rada adopted in the first reading draft law No. 13532, which provides for a radical update of the approach to state assistance to families with children.<\/a> 290 deputies voted in favor of the relevant decision.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the program \u201cCaring for the Future \u2014 2025\u201d has been launched in the front-line Krasnorychensk community of Luhansk region, which provides for one-time financial assistance to families with children.<\/a> Each minor child can receive 10,000 hryvnias to support development and create proper living conditions.<\/p>\n
