There\u2019s a new strategy \u2014 three thousand kilometers of happiness! No trains, no locomotives, no staff, but plenty of branded selfies. Perhaps it\u2019s brilliant: why repair the rails when you can film the project in PowerPoint and present it on a national telethon?<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"934\" data-end=\"1162\">The audit department at Ukrzaliznytsia was quietly shut down \u2014 apparently, so the sound of calculators wouldn\u2019t drown out the rustle of theft. Each one wears the same branded hoodie, the same look of martyrdom. <em data-start=\"646\" data-end=\"673\">\u201cWe work for the people,\u201d<\/em> they say, tightening yet another bolt on the coffin of a state enterprise.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"752\" data-end=\"1024\">The railway is still breathing \u2014 barely, through incense and inertia. And if it is ever saved, it won\u2019t be by these PR conductors, but by the quiet hands of those who lay the rails at night \u2014 so that this <strong data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"979\">train of absurdity<\/strong> might, just once more, move toward Europe.<\/p>\n<p><em>As a reminder, Ukrzaliznytsia announced the launch of a new support program for Ukrainians &#8211; &#8220;UZ-3000&#8221;, which <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/3000-kilometriv-na-podorozhi-v-ukrzaliznytsi-rozkryly-detali-prohramy\/\">provides 3 thousand free kilometers for travel<\/a>. The company is convinced that this initiative will stimulate travel during off-peak periods and make traveling around the country more affordable.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the day before that the government is preparing a large-scale &#8220;winter support&#8221; program, which will come into effect in December.
