Elon Musk is close to a new financial record – Tesla shareholders have agreed to an unprecedented compensation package for the company’s founder, which could make him the world’s first trillionaire.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to<\/a> CNN, more than 75% of Tesla shareholders voted in favor of the decision, excluding Musk’s own 15%. The decision was made at the company’s annual meeting, where attendees greeted it with applause and cheers.<\/p>\n

Unlike most CEOs of large corporations, Musk does not receive a fixed salary. Instead, he will receive up to 423.7 million Tesla shares over the next decade, provided the company meets a series of ambitious financial and production targets.<\/p>\n

Analysts estimate that Tesla’s market capitalization should grow to $8.5 trillion, which would mean a stock price increase of more than 460%. In that case, Musk’s potential reward could exceed $1 trillion.<\/p>\n

Currently, according to Bloomberg, the entrepreneur’s fortune is estimated at approximately $473 billion. In addition to Tesla, he controls the space company SpaceX and the artificial intelligence startup xAI.<\/p>\n

Tesla’s board of directors previously warned that if shareholders do not support the payout plan, Musk may consider leaving the position of CEO of the company.<\/p>\n

During his speech after the vote, Musk emphasized that Tesla is no longer limited to the production of electric cars. The company is moving into a new phase of development – artificial intelligence technologies, autonomous transportation systems, and robotics.<\/p>\n

“The future of Tesla is robo-taxis and humanoid robots. These developments could become more influential than smartphones,” Musk said.<\/p>\n

Elon Musk reportedly said during a meeting with investors that he needed a compensation package worth about $1 trillion to maintain control over Tesla and its artificial intelligence projects. The entrepreneur warned that without that level of influence, he could be removed from management.<\/a><\/p>\n
