The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine announced the temporary suspension of border crossing operations. The disruption in the operation of the checkpoints occurred due to a hostile attack that caused a power supply problem.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by the press service<\/a> of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The department noted that due to a malfunction in the customs database, registration of citizens and vehicles for entry and exit from the territory of Ukraine is temporarily not carried out.<\/p>\n

“Therefore, the registration of citizens and vehicles for entry into and exit from Ukraine is temporarily not carried out. Please take this information into account when planning your trip,” the State Border Service of Ukraine reported.<\/p>\n

The State Customs Service clarified that the failure in the work of the checkpoints occurred due to an enemy attack, which resulted in problems with the power supply. Work is currently underway to eliminate the consequences of the shelling, and the work of the checkpoints will be restored in the near future.<\/p>\n

The border guards emphasized that the restoration of the system’s functioning and the verification of all technical elements are ongoing. Information about the nature of the failure and the timing of full restoration will be published separately.<\/p>\n

As of the day of the incident, queues of vehicles were observed at the checkpoints. In particular, about ten cars are waiting to leave Ukraine at the “Uhryniv”, “Hrushiv” and “Shehyni” checkpoints. The largest concentration of vehicles for entry into Ukraine was recorded at “Krakivka” – about forty cars, at “Shehyni” – twenty-five, and at “Uhryniv” – ten.<\/p>\n

The State Border Service of Ukraine and the State Migration Service urged citizens to follow updates on official messages and take into account the current situation when planning trips across the state border.<\/p>\n
