Russia is implementing a state program of ideological education for children from kindergarten to college. This includes training in formation, hand-to-hand combat, and familiarization with weapons, which shapes the image of war as the norm of life in young people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Foreign Intelligence Service.<\/p>\n

In October 2024, President Vladimir Putin instructed preschoolers to be instilled with the “basic values of the Russian state” and to take into account their “desire to be soldiers.” After that, “Conversations about Important Things” classes began in kindergartens across the country, and the number of cadet groups increased in at least 26 regions by October 2025.<\/p>\n

Children from four to seven years old are taught formations, hand-to-hand combat, weapons, and body armor. They are also involved in weaving camouflage nets and meeting with “heroes of the SVO,” who are often former convicts of serious crimes.<\/p>\n

Kindergartens are recommended to create museums dedicated to the invasion of Ukraine, with the task of “educating patriotism and pride in the defenders of the country” and involving families in volunteer initiatives in support of the occupiers.<\/p>\n

Ideological work continues in schools: instead of traditional bells, “modern patriotic tracks” will be played from November, and lectures on criminal responsibility have been introduced for middle school students. “Family Studies” lessons, developed jointly with the Russian Orthodox Church, are held in schools and colleges, where teenagers are encouraged to “sacrifice themselves for the sake of the fatherland” and create large families.<\/p>\n

Against the backdrop of these changes, the Russian authorities are tightening control over the behavior of teenagers. The State Duma is considering a bill to lower the age of criminal responsibility for sabotage to 14 and abolish the statute of limitations for such articles. Since the start of the war, Russian courts have already convicted at least 158 minors on charges of “terrorism” and “sabotage.”<\/p>\n

The education system in Russia is gradually turning into a tool for forming a controlled generation that is prepared from childhood not for education and profession, but for service in war.<\/p>\n

By the way, in early September, Ukraine managed to return another 29 children from the temporarily occupied territories<\/a> who had survived oppression, coercion, and the imposition of Russian propaganda.<\/p>\n
