A large-scale anti-corruption operation has begun in Ukraine \u2014 detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau are conducting searches at the home of former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko and at JSC NNEGC Energoatom. The investigation concerns corruption schemes in the energy sector, which, according to the investigation, have been operating for a long time.<\/strong><\/p>\n

MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated on Telegram<\/a> that searches are being conducted not only at Galushchenko’s house, but also at the state-owned company Energoatom.<\/p>\n

“And Herman Galushchenko also had a NABU search. What a coincidence. And that’s not all,” the deputy wrote. Later, he added: “And Energoatom is talking about it too. It’s not just a day, it’s a holiday.”<\/p>\n

According to him, the case also involves<\/a> businessman Timur Mindich and several energy sector officials.<\/p>\n

NABU reported that together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, they are conducting a large-scale operation that lasted 15 months. About a thousand hours of audio recordings were collected as part of the investigation.<\/p>\n

“The activities of a high-level criminal organization have been documented. Its participants built a large-scale corruption scheme to influence strategic public sector enterprises, in particular JSC NNEGC Energoatom. Details later,” the detectives reported.<\/p>\n

In addition, according to sources, searches are also being conducted at the home of Ihor Myronyuk, who was previously an advisor to Herman Galushchenko. According to Zheleznyak, Myronyuk was called the “watcher” of state-owned energy companies.<\/p>\n

The investigation is ongoing. NABU and SAPO have promised to provide additional details after the operation is completed.<\/p>\n

The day before, Justice Minister Herman Galushchenko, who headed the Ministry of Energy until the end of July 2025, called for an end to discussions of his previous activities<\/a> , in particular regarding tariff policy.<\/p>\n

Recall, Herman Galushchenko was appointed Minister of Energy<\/a> on April 21, 2021, and received the position of Minister of Justice after the appointment of Yulia Svyrydenko as Prime Minister<\/a> in July 2025.<\/p>\n

Previously, NABU conducted searches at all the defendants in the case of embezzlement of budget funds<\/a> for the construction of fortifications in the Poltava Autonomous Okrug.<\/p>\n
