The pace of the Russian offensive in Pokrovsk has temporarily slowed, but Russian troops continue to block Ukrainian supply lines in Mirnograd. At the same time, analysts note that Russia is accumulating forces for continued active hostilities.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated in a report<\/a> by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).<\/p>\n

It is noted that Russian forces did not conduct new offensive operations in the Pokrovskoye direction. This, according to analysts, indicates a temporary slowdown in the offensive in order to transfer reinforcements and expand logistics on the southern outskirts of the city.<\/p>\n

A military intelligence source reported that Russian troops are in most areas of Pokrovsk, but do not have the ability to surround the city. The enemy is conducting separate infiltration missions from the southern side. There is also evidence of the transfer of mortar units and drone operators to control the supply routes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian military personnel confirm that deteriorating weather is complicating the work of drones and affecting the actions of both sides. Ukrainian troops continue to hold positions throughout Pokrovsk, while Russian forces have consolidated only in certain areas.<\/p>\n

Some Russian military sources have stated that the intensity of fighting in Pokrovsk has decreased, and machine-gun clashes are occurring less frequently.<\/p>\n

“ISW continues to assess that in the coming days, Russian forces are likely to increase the pace of ground activity in Pokrovsk, expanding logistics and transferring personnel to the city,” the analysts’ report said.<\/p>\n

Regarding the situation in Myrnograd, ISW analysts report that Russian forces are in almost complete control of or firing on all Ukrainian supply lines. According to intelligence sources, the Ukrainian military is facing supply shortages due to the risk of sabotage, minefields, and drone strikes.<\/p>\n

Russian troops are also installing barbed wire, building fortifications, and operating as motorcycle groups in the northern part of Myrnograd.<\/p>\n

“Russian forces will most likely continue their attempts to weaken the ability of Ukrainian forces to defend Myrnograd through infiltrations and indirect fire on Ukrainian positions and rear areas,” ISW analysts note.<\/p>\n

By the way, the situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, remains difficult. Russian troops are trying to create conditions there for a complete encirclement of the city<\/a> .<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russian troops are actively strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and accumulating resources capable of conducting surveillance and striking the entire settlement.<\/a> Control over key approaches to the city has not yet been achieved, which poses a serious threat to Ukrainian defenders.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the military said that the Russians had reduced their activity in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, to reduce casualties<\/a> while waiting for reinforcements.<\/p>\n
