{"id":1318602,"date":"2025-11-10T18:59:47","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T16:59:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/energy-corruption-case-nabu-exposes-ex-mps-office-through-which-about-100-million-passed\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T04:26:25","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T02:26:25","slug":"energy-corruption-case-nabu-exposes-ex-mps-office-through-which-about-100-million-passed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prm.ua\/en\/energy-corruption-case-nabu-exposes-ex-mps-office-through-which-about-100-million-passed\/","title":{"rendered":"$100 Million Trail: NABU Unmasks Ex-MP\u2019s Hidden Energy Corruption Office"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) has uncovered a Kyiv-based office that served as a hub for laundering nearly $100 million in funds tied to a major energy-sector corruption scheme.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.me\/nab_ukraine\/3504\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">was reported by<\/span><\/a> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">the NABU press service.<\/span><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"181\">As it turned out, the office belonged to the family of former Ukrainian MP and current Russian senator Andriy Derkach, who is already under investigation in another criminal case.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"183\" data-end=\"384\">\u201cThrough this office, strict accounting of received funds was maintained, a \u2018black ledger\u2019 was kept, and money laundering was organized via a network of non-resident companies,\u201d the bureau explained.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"386\" data-end=\"483\">Additionally, certain transactions, including cash withdrawals, were conducted outside Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"485\" data-end=\"622\">For services provided to individuals not formally associated with the organization, the office received a percentage of the sums spent.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"710\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">According to NABU, approximately $100 million passed through this so-called \u201claundry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a reminder,<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/operatsiia-midas-tryvala-ponad-rik-nabu-opryliudnyly-pershi-audiozapysy-fihurantiv-koruptsii-v-enerhetytsi\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NABU and SAPO are conducting a large-scale operation &#8220;Midas&#8221; to expose corruption in the energy sector<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.
