Mobile operators in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine may be required to disconnect users from mobile and Internet communications at the request of the FSB.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported by<\/a> the Center for National Resistance (CNS).<\/p>\n

According to the Central Intelligence Agency, Moscow is preparing a legislative framework that will allow special services to directly order providers and mobile operators to temporarily restrict access to communications. Such actions would not require a court decision or explanation, and the operators would not bear any legal responsibility.<\/p>\n

“Formally, this is motivated by “state security,” but in fact the mechanism is used for surveillance, pressure, and repression,” the Central Intelligence Agency notes.<\/p>\n

In the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, this means increased control and new threats to residents:<\/p>\n

the possibility of selectively disconnecting communications from activists and those suspected of collaborating with Ukraine;<\/p>\n

blocking messengers and channels that disseminate reliable information;<\/p>\n

tracking underground representatives through digital traces;<\/p>\n

the creation of so-called “silence zones” where people are left without the Internet and mobile signal.<\/p>\n

“This is another stage of TOT’s information isolation: instead of access to truthful news, residents are left with only propaganda and fear,” the Center for National Resistance emphasizes.<\/p>\n

We remind you that Russian propaganda continues to oppress the Ukrainian language in the occupied territories and abroad – Ukrainian youth and teachers are under attack, who are subjected to filtration actions and are forced to switch to the Russian language<\/a> . Therefore, Ukraine should amend the Criminal Code and strengthen responsibility for linguocide.<\/p>\n

As reported, the Russian occupiers have organized 14 labor detachments in Donbas to work on construction sites.<\/a> They consist of children and young people who worked in various Russian regions during the summer.<\/p>\n
