Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky has outlined the main objectives for Ukraine\u2019s defenders in Pokrovsk \u2014 to regain control over key areas while maintaining and securing vital supply routes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He reported<\/span><\/a> this<\/span> following a working trip to the Donetsk region.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Syrsky, stabilizing the situation in the Pokrovsk\u2013Myrnograd operational area depends on effective coordination and interaction between the military command, units, and subdivisions engaged in combat missions.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that the Pokrovsk direction remains a key priority for Russian forces, where the highest number of clashes occurs daily. A significant concentration of enemy troops operating in Ukraine is deployed there.<\/p>\n

At present, the occupying forces are attempting to exploit weather conditions to infiltrate Pokrovsk, with continuous fighting against small assault groups on the outskirts and within the city itself.<\/p>\n

Ukrainian defenders, Syrsky noted, are doing everything possible to prevent the enemy from advancing or entrenching.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur main objectives remain to gradually take control of designated areas, support and protect existing logistical routes, and establish additional ones \u2014 to ensure timely supplies for our defenders and the smooth evacuation of the wounded,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n

It was previously reported that the situation in Pokrovsk, Donetsk Oblast, remains difficult. Russian troops are seeking to create conditions there for a complete encirclement of the city<\/a>.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, Russian troops are actively strengthening their positions in Pokrovsk and accumulating resources<\/a> capable of conducting surveillance and striking the entire settlement.<\/p>\n

As is known, despite complicated logistics, Ukrainian units are conducting rotation and evacuation in Pokrovsk and Myrnograd<\/a>.<\/p>\n

By the way, Ukrainian soldiers are clearing the northern areas of Pokrovsk, and the most active fighting in the city is taking place in the industrial zone<\/a>.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that the Russians have pulled a significant part of their forces to Pokrovsk<\/a>. According to Syrsky, the occupation of the city will be the enemy’s last maneuver to capture the Donetsk region.<\/p>\n
