The European Solidarity faction has received signatures and is starting an official collection of signatures from MPs calling for the government to resign. The party states that the initiative concerns the entire Cabinet of Ministers, not individual ministers.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a><\/span> by the co-chair of the faction, Artur Gerasimov.<\/span><\/p>\n

He emphasizes that the resignation of just two officials does not solve the problem of the large-scale corruption scandal caused by the leaked recordings of Timur Mindich. According to Gerasimov, at least five ministers, representatives of regulatory bodies and people from the President’s Office appear in these tapes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gerasimov said that the government should focus on securing the front, and not “serving the corruption of the top.” In his opinion, the key loss caused by the scandal is trust: both of Ukrainian society in the government and of international partners in Ukraine. It can be restored, according to the deputy, only through systemic changes, not partial solutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

That is why “European Solidarity” is initiating the resignation of the entire government. Gerasimov has already signed and called on the leaders of all factions and groups to join the collection of signatures. He claims that the results of the signature campaign will show “who is for Ukraine and who is for the Mindichs.”<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that lawyers are considering the issue of depriving Ukrainian citizenship of businessman Timur Mindich, suspected of corruption at Energoatom<\/a> .<\/p>\n
