Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a law that provides for a fixed payment of fifty thousand hryvnias after the birth of a child. The document also introduces new assistance programs for families with children and updates the accrual procedure.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated in the relevant card of the draft law<\/a> .<\/p>\n

The new law defines a list of state assistance for families with children. It includes payments for pregnancy and childbirth, birth assistance, support for care, as well as additional programs.<\/p>\n

The document states that the benefit in the event of the birth of a child will be a fixed amount of 50,000 hryvnias<\/strong> . It is assigned to one of the parents or guardians upon submission of an application and birth certificate.<\/p>\n

Women who do not have insurance coverage will receive 7,000 hryvnias<\/strong> monthly as pregnancy and childbirth benefits.<\/p>\n

It is planned that the “Baby Package” program will be available in kind or as a cash compensation. It can be received from the thirty-sixth week of pregnancy or no later than three months after the birth of the child.<\/p>\n

The law also introduces new monthly payments tied to the parents’ employment. Childcare allowance for children under one year old will be 7,000 hryvnias per month and will increase by 50% for children with disabilities.<\/p>\n

The “e-Nursery” program provides support for parents who return to full-time work after their child turns one. The payment will be valid until the child turns three and will increase for children with disabilities.<\/p>\n

The “eSadok” program is intended for children from three to six years old, and for children with special needs – up to seven years old. Payment is provided on condition of full-time employment of the mother or legal representative.<\/p>\n

In 2026, first-graders will receive a “student package” worth 5,000 hryvnias to purchase necessary items.<\/p>\n

All new types of cash assistance will come into effect on January 1, 2026. Their final amount will be determined each year by the Law on the State Budget of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

As you know, the Verkhovna Rada has adopted draft law No. 13532 in its entirety, which provides for a significant increase in state assistance to families with children<\/a> . From January 1, 2026, the one-time payment at the birth of a child will be 50 thousand hryvnias, and new monthly payments and targeted support programs are also being introduced.<\/p>\n

By the way, in Ukraine, a \u201cwinter support\u201d program will be launched in December<\/a> , under which citizens will be able to receive from one thousand to six and a half thousand hryvnias. The assistance is planned to be spent on food, medicine, warm clothing, and payment of utility bills.<\/p>\n
