Russia is waging not only a classic war against Ukraine, but also a broad hybrid campaign against Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Finnish President Alexander Stubb stated this in an interview with the Associated Press.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to him, Moscow is currently combining various instruments of pressure on European states\u2014from the use of drones and fighter jet provocations to acts of sabotage and intensive information propaganda.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“Russia is waging not only a kinetic war in Ukraine, but also a hybrid war in Europe,” Stubb emphasized.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The Finnish president noted that a number of European countries have already encountered Russian drones, airspace violations, and other elements of hybrid pressure.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“The line between war and peace has become blurred,” he said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Stubb stressed that the Kremlin seeks to destabilize Europe and “cause chaos and panic” through arson, vandalism and propaganda operations.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

He stressed that to counter these threats, Europe must act “in the Finnish way.”<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

“In other words, be calm, poised, collected and have a little bit of that sisu,” the president said.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Stubb explained that sisu<\/em> is a Finnish concept meaning endurance, fortitude, and tenacity. These are precisely the qualities, he said, that Europe needs to survive the winter months, as Russia continues its hybrid attacks and information warfare across the continent.<\/p>\n
