On Monday, November 17, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court will choose a preventive measure for former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov, who is suspected of participating in a corruption scheme at Energoatom.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by Suspilne.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the prosecutor, Chernyshov participated in the scheme from February 11 to May 9, 2025 and acquired 55 million hryvnias.<\/span><\/p>\n

The prosecutor demands to send the suspect into custody, citing a number of risks. In particular, it is noted that he has traveled abroad more than 50 times and has a significant property fortune. In addition, the alleged defendant may influence the investigation and commit other criminal offenses.<\/span><\/p>\n

Chernyshov, in turn, denied all the accusations. He stressed that he knew nothing about the code name \u201cChe Guevara.\u201d At the same time, the suspect admitted that the voice on the NABU recordings was similar to his, but added that \u201cmaterial evidence\u201d was needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cLet’s base our conclusions on facts. I am not against NABU and SAPO conducting this investigation,\u201d he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, NABU and SAPO handed the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine a request<\/a> for the imposition of a preventive measure.<\/p>\n

We remind you that the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office are conducting a large-scale operation “Midas”<\/a> to expose corruption in the energy sector.<\/p>\n

It is worth noting that NABU and SAPO documented how participants in the corruption scheme in the energy sector transferred money to the former Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine<\/a> .<\/p>\n

By the way, on November 11, anti-corruption authorities reported suspicions of illegal enrichment to the former Deputy Prime Minister<\/a> .<\/p>\n
