At night, Russia again attacked railway facilities in Ukraine, striking a suburban depot in Dnipro and a number of stations in the Kharkiv region.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was announced by<\/a> the Vice Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Oleksiy Kuleba, who is responsible for the development of communities and territories.<\/p>\n

According to him, the depot serving passenger electric trains in the Dnipropetrovsk region suffered critical damage from dozens of drones. <\/p>\n

“For the second time during the war, the enemy is massively attacking this facility. The main repair shop was significantly destroyed, the station in Dnipro was damaged. The dismantling of the rubble and operational restoration have already begun,” Kuleba noted. Despite the damage, morning trains from Dnipro left on schedule.<\/p>\n

At the same time, according to the official, the shelling affected several railway stations in the Kharkiv region. “One railway worker was injured in Berestyn, he was provided with medical assistance. The carriages and infrastructure of four stations were damaged. The terrorist attacks are aimed at paralyzing logistics, but we are doing everything possible to maintain communication between communities and restore traffic,” he said.<\/p>\n

Ukrzaliznytsia clarified that due to the massive strikes, trains No. 31 Zaporizhzhia – Przemysl and No. 119 Dnipro – Kholm departed with a delay of about 2.5 hours, but are now running on schedule. Passengers and train crews, including suburban train No. 6044 Pyatikhatky – Dnipro, were in shelters and were not injured. <\/p>\n

The blast wave in Dnipro partially shattered windows at the station and in cars, and the region experienced a partial power outage. Railway workers deployed backup diesel locomotives, and traffic was fully restored.<\/p>\n

In the Kharkiv region, due to damage to the infrastructure, the routes of trains No. 227 Barvinkove – Ivano-Frankivsk and No. 102 Kherson – Barvinkove have been partially changed. Despite the extended travel time, Ukrzaliznytsia guarantees the safe arrival of passengers.<\/p>\n

Morning commuter trains in the direction of Berestyn have also been restricted until the restoration work is completed – this applies to trains from Kharkiv, Orilka, Merefa and Poltava-Pivdenna. Passengers are urged to listen carefully to announcements at stations.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, on the night of October 31, Russian troops attacked railway infrastructure in two regions of Ukraine \u2014 Sumy and Kharkiv.<\/a> The strikes damaged Ukrzaliznytsia facilities and rolling stock, and one of the passenger trains was forced to change its route.<\/p>\n

As reported, on the night of Saturday, November 8, Russia carried out another massive missile and drone strike on the territory of Ukraine. The railway infrastructure suffered the most – stations, contact networks, and locomotive depots were damaged in several regions.<\/a><\/p>\n
