Ukrainians are actively applying for participation in the “Winter Support” program, which provides a one-time payment of 1,000 hryvnias. Some people cannot apply for assistance online because they do not use a smartphone.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ukrposhta website explained<\/a> what to do in such a case.<\/span><\/p>\n

Pensioners and Ukrainians who receive pensions or social benefits through Ukrposhta will receive a thousand automatically – on the day of their regular payment. The state synchronized the dates so that people receive their pension and “winter” benefits together.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Other Ukrainians without smartphones, the Internet, or with disabilities are invited to apply at any Ukrposhta branch or through a postman. Applications will be accepted from November 18 to December 24. If a person cannot come in person, they can call 0 800 300 545, after which the postman will come to their home and complete the documents.<\/span><\/p>\n

After processing the application, the person will receive an SMS about the accrual of funds and will be able to pick up the money at the branch or wait for the postman. To apply, you must have a passport and identification code (or a note about refusing it). If the payment is being made for a child, a separate application and birth certificate are required. Guardians submit documents confirming their authority.<\/span><\/p>\n

The received 1,000 hryvnias can be spent at Ukrposhta branches: pay for utilities, make a subscription, order Ukrainian medicines, purchase Ukrainian-made goods, or donate to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

As previously reported, the government program “Winter Support” has already been launched in Ukraine<\/a> , according to which every Ukrainian can receive 1,000 hryvnias.<\/p>\n

We remind you that the government wants to finance “Winter Support” by reducing other social expenditures<\/a> : according to the accompanying documents, it is proposed to take money from programs to protect children and low-income families.<\/p>\n
