Tonight, the first real winter atmosphere prevailed in some regions of Ukraine: the ground, trees and houses were covered with light snow, and the air temperature dropped significantly. In a number of places, fog is observed, which further enhances the feeling of cold calm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is reported<\/a> in particular by the Mountain Rescuers of the Carpathian Region.<\/p>\n

Blizzards are especially visible in mountainous regions: rescuers recorded snowfall in the Carpathian highlands. On Mount Pip Ivan, there was light snow cover, cloudiness, and a temperature of about -2 \u00b0C, rescuers reported. <\/p>\n

The wind in the mountains was from the southwest, at a speed of about 6 m\/s, which adds freshness to the mountain air and cools the surrounding landscape. Pip Ivan is one of the highest peaks of the Ukrainian Carpathians, located on the border of Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions, and it is here that real winter often comes first. <\/p>\n

Snow has also blanketed low-lying regions, with reports coming from Lviv, Zakarpattia, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. The State Border Guard Service noted that temperatures have dropped along the border, and thick fogs occasionally envelop the area, creating picturesque but dangerous conditions. <\/p>\n

Tourists in border regions are also being warned: they are recommended to stay on marked routes, not to cross the border, and to pay attention to rescuer warnings, as the nights are getting colder and visibility is getting worse.<\/p>\n

The first snowflakes have also been recorded at the popular ski resort “Podobovets” in the Transcarpathian region: users are posting photos and videos of snow-white nature, and the elements themselves are adding a cozy winter atmosphere to the region.<\/p>\n

In the Nadsyanskyi Regional Landscape Park in the Lviv region, nature seems to be transformed: the trees are covered in a white blanket, and the quiet winter mood creates the impression that the park has plunged into a winter fairy tale.<\/p>\n

Local Telegram channels report that snow has already fallen in Tatariv, Yaremche, Yablunytsia, and Dolyna. Snow removal equipment has appeared on the region’s roads – mountain passes are being cleared as a priority.<\/p>\n

Thus, tonight brought the real beginning of winter in part of Ukraine: snow has not spared either the mountains or the lowlands, and local residents and tourists are already feeling the first hints of frosty winter.<\/p>\n
