Russia forcibly mobilized over 46,000 Ukrainians from temporarily occupied territories.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by Dmytro Usov, Secretary of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, during the Crimea Global international conference,<\/span> an Ukrinform correspondent reported<\/a> .<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Usov, the largest number of people were mobilized in Crimea – over 35 thousand, and another over 5 thousand in Sevastopol. In Donetsk region, 5,368 Ukrainians were forcibly mobilized, in Luhansk – 4,650, in Zaporizhia – 560, in Kherson – 478. All these data cover the period from February 2022 to July 2025 and were confirmed by the Russian side.<\/span><\/p>\n

Usov also noted that 16% of prisoners in POW camps in Ukraine are Ukrainian citizens, 6% of whom are Crimeans. According to him, it is planned to submit legislative amendments to the Verkhovna Rada that would allow for the non-return of forcibly mobilized Ukrainians to the Russian Federation during exchanges, so that these people remain in Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

He added that some of these Ukrainians have already been acquitted by Ukrainian courts, and their release from the camps is expected.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Russia and the United States discussed the possibility of a new prisoner exchange.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, on October 2, Ukraine and the Russian Federation exchanged prisoners<\/a> – 185 defenders returned from Russian captivity.<\/p>\n
