Naftogaz Group denies reports of alleged searches at the company’s central offices.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is stated<\/a> in the official statement of the press service, which emphasized that detectives did not conduct any investigative actions at the company’s premises.<\/p>\n

Naftogaz emphasized that all employees of the group fully cooperate with law enforcement and anti-corruption authorities. In the event of violations, the company noted, immediate personnel decisions will be applied to the employees involved.<\/p>\n

The information noise arose after MP Oleksiy Honcharenko stated that NABU was allegedly conducting searches at Naftogaz. It later turned out that the matter was not about the company’s offices, but about investigative actions against its new security director.<\/p>\n

According to sources of “Economic Truth”, on Wednesday morning, NABU detectives came to search Vitaliy Brovko, the recently appointed head of the security department of the Naftogaz Group. The searches were conducted in the center of Kyiv and may be related to the “Mindich tapes” mentioned in the media and Brovko’s activities in his previous position in the Prosecutor General’s Office.<\/p>\n

There is currently no official confirmation regarding the subject of the investigation.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that Brovko headed the security department of Naftogaz at the end of August. Before that, he worked at the Prosecutor General’s Office and was responsible for supervising compliance with the SBI legislation.<\/p>\n

The official’s declaration indicates a significant amount of crypto assets \u2014 over UAH 44 million at the exchange rate at the end of April. Forbes Ukraine called him the “record holder for the volume of cryptocurrency” among civil servants: on Binance, Brovko declared over UAH 35 million in USDT stablecoins. Also on the list \u2014 XRP, Toncoin, Ethereum, Monero and other tokens.<\/p>\n

The official’s family rents an apartment in Kyiv with an area of over 180 m\u00b2 and uses several cars \u2014 a Toyota RAV4, a Lexus RX450, and a Ford Expedition. Significant incomes are indicated for both Brovko himself and his wife.<\/p>\n

After conflicting reports emerged, NABU released a comment confirming the searches of the Naftogaz security director.<\/p>\n

The bureau reported:<\/p>\n

searches were indeed carried out;<\/p>\n

no detentions were made;<\/p>\n

No one was suspected;<\/p>\n

investigative actions are authorized and conducted within the law;<\/p>\n

the investigation does not concern the activities of the Naftogaz Group;<\/p>\n

Other details are not being disclosed yet so as not to harm the pre-trial investigation.<\/p>\n

Naftogaz’s position after NABU’s statements<\/p>\n

The company reiterated that there was no visit by detectives to the group’s offices, and the information published by some politicians is unreliable.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, NABU is planning a series of large-scale inspections at the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine due to suspicions of systematic price overpricing during the procurement of products, uniforms, and fuel for the Armed Forces.<\/a> Investigators intend to cover procurement departments, financial units, and supplier companies that worked with the army.<\/p>\n

As reported, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office have gotten close to the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky<\/a> – this is stated in the article “A Friend of Kolomoisky and Zelensky: Who is Timur Mindich?”, published on the Deutsche Welle website.<\/p>\n
