Donald Trump’s administration is preparing a new large-scale peace project to end the war in Ukraine and is already preparing to present it as a finished document.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to<\/a> Politico, Washington is confident that the parties can agree on a framework agreement in the coming days \u2014 or even before the end of the month.<\/p>\n

According to the publication, a senior White House official said that “a framework agreement on the cessation of hostilities could be agreed upon as early as this week.” However, unlike previous diplomatic initiatives, neither Kyiv nor the US’s key European partners appear to have participated in the formation of the document.<\/p>\n

At the same time, the main problematic issues \u2014 the fate of the occupied territories, deported Ukrainian children, and security guarantees \u2014 remain vague, and there are no specifics about them.<\/p>\n

According to Politico, the atmosphere within the Trump administration remains extremely optimistic, and Washington is considering an option in which the plan will simply be presented to Volodymyr Zelensky as a ready-made solution.<\/p>\n

One of the officials quoted by the publication stated:
“The proposal will be rational… We are not focused on the Europeans. The main thing is that Ukraine agrees.”<\/p>\n

Politico observers note that Trump’s entourage believes that the current situation \u2014 from the frontline positions to corruption scandals in Kyiv \u2014 makes Ukraine vulnerable and may force it to make concessions.<\/p>\n

According to the publication’s interlocutors, the White House is convinced that their document is “a compromise that Ukraine can accept,” although the details of the proposal and Kyiv’s reaction remain unknown.<\/p>\n

In addition, it later became known that tomorrow, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will meet in Kyiv with US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and Chief of Staff General Randy George to discuss the details of the peace agreement that the US has prepared together with Russia. After the negotiations, the American military will go to Moscow for consultations with the Russian side.<\/p>\n
