It also creates problems for Ukraine&#8217;s supporters in the West, who now have a harder time justifying the need for financial assistance to their societies, he added.<\/p>\n<p> According to Shamshur, the further restraint of partners will depend entirely on the president&#8217;s readiness for &#8220;surgical measures&#8221; and a radical reset of power. Without a decisive purge, it is hardly worth counting on maintaining or, even more so, increasing the volume of aid, the former ambassador believes.<\/p>\n<p> In addition, according to him, the corruption scandal significantly weakens Ukraine&#8217;s negotiating position and creates new opportunities for pressure from the United States, particularly in the context of promoting Donald Trump&#8217;s &#8220;peace plan.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/prm.ua\/ukraina-maie-vyyty-z-donbasu-a-svit-vyznaty-krym-rosiyskym-z-iavylysia-novi-detali-myrnoho-planu-trampa\/\">&#8220;Trump&#8217;s plan,&#8221;<\/a> the diplomat noted, which envisages a ceasefire, is extremely unfavorable for Ukraine, and his positions are close to Putin&#8217;s maximalist demands.
