The Zhytomyr Military Institute began an internal audit after complaints from cadets who stated that the leadership demanded to impose disciplinary sanctions on those who followed the order of the General Staff and came to the formation in civilian clothes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was reported<\/a> by the cadet-officer community SLON FM, the institute’s press service, and the Military Law Enforcement Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The cadets claim that in this way the leadership is violating the order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which stipulates that personnel must remain dispersed and wear camouflage. According to them, those who, for their own safety, came to the formation not in uniform should have been reprimanded.<\/p>\n

The educational institution stated that the report about the conflict “was distorted” and assured that they were adhering to all safety measures, including a ban on mass gatherings and other similar events.<\/p>\n

“Remarks were indeed made, but they did not concern risks to the life or health of the cadets,” the institute’s press service clarified.<\/p>\n

The Military Law Enforcement Service has already begun an investigation into possible unlawful actions by the command, in particular, the unfounded holding of cadets to disciplinary liability.<\/p>\n

Currently, fact-finding, interviewing servicemen, and analyzing the actions of officials and cadets are underway to establish the causes of the incident and provide an objective legal assessment.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Central District Court of Dnipro remanded in custody a battalion commander who, despite the ban of the General Staff, gathered personnel for an award ceremony in the Dnipropetrovsk region on November 1. This decision is due to the fact that during the event , Russian troops carried out a combined missile and drone strike, which led to deaths and injuries among military personnel and civilians.<\/a><\/p>\n

As previously reported, the State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicions of the commander of one of the battalions in neglecting military service. According to the investigation, he organized a ceremonial formation of personnel on November 1 in the Dnipropetrovsk region, ignoring a direct ban from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.<\/a><\/p>\n
