During a break in the court hearing in the Poroshenko vs. Zelenskyy case, European Solidarity MP Viktoria Syumar stated that the current context, following the release of the “Mindich tapes,” completely changes the perception of this political case.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Syumar, the authorities haven’t provided a single piece of evidence against Poroshenko: “Not a single one. Not law enforcement, not the Presidential Administration, not the court. Yet the president said that billions were being ‘swiped’ out of the country. And now we see\u2014yes, they were. But not those he tried to blame. Those who stood by him were doing it.”<\/p>\n

The deputy recalled that it was the head of the State Financial Monitoring Service, Pronin, who used quotes from Portnov in the case against Poroshenko\u2014a man who openly acknowledged the political motive behind the prosecution.<\/p>\n

“This isn’t just a fabrication. It’s a scheme used to cover up their own crimes\u2014both corruption and actual treason. ‘A two-room apartment for Moscow’ isn’t a metaphor; it’s the reality we heard on the tapes,” Syumar noted.<\/p>\n

She also warned that the country is at the epicenter of both external and internal threats. The authorities are rapidly losing credibility, and parliament could be forced to make decisions on potential “peace agreements” that contradict the Constitution and national interests.<\/p>\n

“We will not support any provisions that restrict Ukraine’s progress toward NATO or deprive us of our sovereign right to decide our own future,” Syumar emphasized.<\/p>\n

The deputy is convinced that, given the corruption shock and chaos within the mono-majority, the time for discussions “in the quiet of offices” is over: “Today, more than ever, a meeting between the president and the leaders of all factions is needed. Because the mono-majority has long since disappeared. And parliament must regain its independence.”<\/p>\n

“The sanctions against Poroshenko aren’t about the law. They’re about silencing those who spoke out against Russian reactors, against corruption, against conspiracy. And today’s court verdict confirms that,” the MP said.<\/p>\n

“If the government is incapable of speaking honestly with society and parliament, very dangerous decisions lie ahead. Therefore, the only way out is to restore unity, lift the absurd sanctions against Poroshenko, and return the country to the normal functioning of democratic institutions,” concludes Victoria Syumar.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, a panel of judges from the Cassation Administrative Court, part of the Supreme Court, is continuing to consider Petro Poroshenko’s claim to overturn the illegal decree imposing sanctions<\/a> . Representatives of diplomatic missions, journalists, and members of parliament are present at the court hearing. <\/p>\n
