In the new American “peace plan” for Ukraine, journalists have noticed wording that looks as if the text was first written in Russian.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

This was stated by<\/a> The Guardian journalist Luke Harding.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

In his opinion, certain phrases sound logical in Russian, but look unnatural in English.<\/span><\/p>\n

Harding gave an example of the third paragraph of the document: “It is expected that Russia will not invade neighboring countries, and NATO will not expand further.” He explained that the English “expected” sounds strange in this context, while the Russian “\u043e\u0436\u0438\u0434\u0430\u0435\u0442\u0441\u044f” is normal and natural.<\/span><\/p>\n

The journalist also noted other phrases that could have “leaked” from Russian, including “ambiguities” and “to enshrine.” He said similar linguistic markers appear in several points of the plan, which was previously published by Axios.<\/span> <\/p>\n

Harding noted that such features cast doubt on the true authorship of the text.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was previously reported that Zelensky and EU leaders rejected key provisions of the American peace plan.<\/a><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the US has increased pressure on Ukraine and Russia regarding peace talks<\/a> . According to Reuters, Washington is insisting that Kyiv agree to a framework agreement to end the war by next Thursday.<\/p>\n
