US President Donald Trump said that the United States’ proposed plan for Ukraine and Russia is not final. He stressed that the document is aimed at achieving peace and can be further developed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

US President Donald Trump has made a statement regarding the US initiative to resolve the war between Ukraine and Russia. He stressed that the proposed plan is not a final document and may be subject to change.<\/p>\n

When asked by reporters whether the proposal was final and whether it could be problematic for Ukraine, Trump said the plan should not be considered final.<\/p>\n

“No, not the final (proposal),” said Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

The president also stated that the war between Ukraine and Russia should not have started and could have been prevented.<\/p>\n

“We would like to achieve peace. This should have happened a long time ago, the war between Ukraine and Russia should never have happened. If I were president, this would never have happened. We are trying to end it. One way or another, we have to end it,” said Donald Trump.<\/p>\n

In the statement, he reiterated that the goal of the United States initiative is to achieve an end to the war and find a format that will allow the parties to move toward a peaceful settlement.<\/p>\n

As is known, on Sunday, November 23, negotiations between the US, Ukraine, and the EU regarding Donald Trump’s new “peace plan” will be held<\/a> in Geneva (Switzerland). The purpose of the meeting is to agree on wording for the upcoming meeting of the presidents of Ukraine and the US.<\/p>\n

A group of Western leaders released a joint statement on the initial draft of the US peace plan<\/a> for Ukraine on Tuesday. They stressed that the document could serve as a basis for work, but needed to be refined.<\/p>\n

Earlier, key provisions of the draft US “peace plan”<\/a> , allegedly agreed upon by representatives of Donald Trump and the Kremlin, became known. The document contains 28 points relating to the security, territories, economy and political future of Ukraine.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy approved the composition of the delegation<\/a> for consultations with international partners on ending the war.<\/p>\n
