Moscow reacted sharply to the updated version of the peace plan for resolving the war against Ukraine – Russian representatives actually rejected the document, stating that it “does not lead to a result.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

The updated draft of the US peace formula was shown to the Russian side in Abu Dhabi, where meetings between US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll and the Russian delegation are ongoing.<\/p>\n

The transfer of the document took place after an important stage of consultations between Kyiv and Washington in Geneva – it was there that the initial version of 28 points was significantly revised.<\/p>\n

The American side, having agreed on positions with Ukraine, reduced the document to 19 points, removing a number of provisions that Kyiv and its European allies considered too lenient or ambiguous.<\/p>\n

The revised version was supposed to become a “more realistic framework” for further international discussions, but the Russian Federation’s reaction turned out to be predictably negative.<\/p>\n

According to the agency, Russian officials, upon reviewing the redacted document, called it “futile,” effectively blocking any movement in this direction.<\/p>\n

As a reminder, US Defense Secretary Dan Driscoll held talks with Russian representatives in Abu Dhabi, trying to advance the peace process between Moscow and Kyiv<\/a> . This meeting was the latest initiative by the Donald Trump administration to find ways to end the war.<\/p>\n

We would like to add that the US and Ukrainian delegations met in Geneva the day before yesterday, during which the parties discussed the updated American peace proposal.<\/a> The negotiations showed significant progress and agreement on positions on further steps.<\/p>\n

As reported, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin had not received official information about negotiations involving the United States, Ukraine, and European countries in Geneva<\/a> . This means that Russia is not yet planning to hold talks with the American delegation on Ukraine.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that after the negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Geneva, the US peace plan for Ukraine underwent significant changes.<\/a><\/p>\n
