In the updated version of the American peace plan, Ukraine agreed to reduce the size of the Armed Forces to 800,000 people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by the Financial Times, citing high-ranking Ukrainian officials.<\/span><\/p>\n

Previously, there was talk of limiting the army to 600,000 soldiers. However, this point worried European leaders. The plan they prepared proposed reducing the army by 800,000 in peacetime.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kyiv reportedly agreed to the move as part of efforts to resolve the war. However, it is not yet known whether the restrictions apply to the martial law period.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and American leader Donald Trump are expected to agree on other \u201cmost sensitive issues.\u201d Presumably, these are territories and security guarantees.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a reminder, the Trump administration’s ceasefire plan provides for the complete withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions<\/a> , as well as the freezing of the contact line in the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions.<\/p>\n

Earlier, US President Donald Trump approved a plan for a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia<\/a> , which consists of 28 points.<\/p>\n

It should be noted that after the negotiations between the Ukrainian and American delegations in Geneva, the US peace plan for Ukraine underwent significant changes.<\/a><\/p>\n
