French President Emmanuel Macron announced the creation of a new working group to support Ukraine. The countries will deal with security guarantees.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This<\/span> was reported<\/span><\/a> by Le Monde.<\/span><\/p>\n

The group will be led by the United Kingdom and France. It is planned that Turkey, which will \u201cplay a key role at sea,\u201d and the United States will also join.<\/span><\/p>\n

The so-called \u201cpacification forces\u201d should become the second line of defense if Ukraine and Russia conclude a peace agreement.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to Macron, the coming days will allow countries to agree in detail on each other’s contributions and finally form security guarantees.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThis is important for negotiations on a reliable peace and for maintaining pressure on Russia,\u201d he explained.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, the French president assured that a final decision on the frozen Russian assets will be made in the near future.<\/span> Macron is convinced that the funds are one of the mechanisms for putting pressure on Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe will finally agree on this decision in the coming days, in coordination with all the most interested European countries and, of course, with the European Union and the European Commission,\u201d he concluded.<\/span><\/p>\n
