In Dnipro, a 16-year-old teenager is suspected of committing a double terrorist attack ordered by Russian intelligence services. The explosions killed a bystander and injured another, a police bomb technician.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Office of the Prosecutor General reported this.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to investigators, Russian handlers recruited the young man in November through Telegram. He was allegedly promised a cash reward for a terrorist attack, which was to be directed against law enforcement officers who responded to the initial explosion.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The teenager traveled from Kyiv to Dnipro, where he made two homemade explosives, planted them in specific locations, and installed cell phones for video recording, the prosecutor’s office noted. Before the first explosion, the Russians deliberately sent a random man to the stash, posing as a drug stasher. When he approached the location, the device detonated, killing him.<\/p>\n

A police bomb technician subsequently arrived at the scene. As planned, the second explosive detonated, injuring the law enforcement officer.<\/p>\n

The teenager was charged under Part 3 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Terrorist act resulting in death”). The prosecutor’s office will request pretrial detention without bail. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n

As a reminder, Security Service of Ukraine officers detained a Russian FSB agent in Kharkiv who was manufacturing a homemade explosive device and planning to detonate it in the city.<\/a><\/p>\n

As reported, the Security Service of Ukraine detained a married couple in Odessa who were planning to commit a terrorist attack near Ukrainian military bases.<\/a><\/p>\n
