The funds are due to arrive in early 2026 and will be generated from excess profits received from frozen Russian assets.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"> <span class=\"s2\">This <a href=\"https:\/\/suspilne.media\/1175552-evrosouz-gotue-trans-oboronnoi-pidtrimki-dla-ukraini-na-blizko-80-mln-evro-dzerela\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">was reported<\/a> to the Public by a senior EU official on condition of anonymity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"> <span class=\"s1\">According to him, this will be the fourth such payment. In total, the European Union expects to receive approximately 185 million euros in surplus profits per year in two tranches, of which the next will be about 80 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"> <span class=\"s1\">Brussels will offer member states options on how to use these funds. The preference, as before, is for the purchase of Ukrainian defense products.
