The politician now bears the name Adolf Uuona.<\/p>\n<p> According to the publication, the decision coincided with the start of his fourth election campaign in the region, which was once part of a German colony. The unusual name has long sparked public debate and created discomfort for the politician himself.<\/p>\n<p> Uuona explained that as a child he was unaware of the historical context of his name.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;When I was a kid, it seemed like an ordinary name. It was only later that I realized that this person was trying to conquer the whole world. I have nothing to do with all this. I do not aspire to world domination,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p> According to him, he never used his middle name in everyday life.<\/p>\n<p> &#8220;My wife calls me Adolf,&#8221; the politician added.<\/p>\n<p> The procedure for changing a name in Namibia is complicated. It involves submitting a large amount of documents, publishing advertisements in two daily newspapers and a separate notice in the government gazette.
